Jill had woken up early that morning. She wanted to be at the office before the others as she had a meeting at 9:30 sharp and wanted to look something over before it began. She’d had an idea during the night and this meeting was a dreamed opportunity to submit it to the board. If they liked it, this would mean a huge step forward for her. She just needed to check one last thing to make sure it was feasible. “Please let it be,” she prayed silently as she rushed into the rue Souveraine at the corner of her street.

Oh my Gosh! Isn’t that exciting? Exhilarating! My lord is setting me free from his rank library, in which he indulges in the tedious pages of his electronic nonsense books without even looking at us. He is setting me free, as some kind of New Year resolution I believe, free to the urban library of Ville de Bruxelles.

What a blessing this is! Out in the fresh air and waiting for the minds of knowledgeable readers to set their eyes onto Dorian Gray, the heart-wrenching story of the Victorian young man, which is told right between my two covers.

Six Mois

Six Mois

Six mois !  Seulement six mois à tenir.

Finalement, dans une vie, ce n’est pas si long que ça.

C’est presque un passage obligé dans certains métiers, mais je suis sûr que « 6 mois à Bruxelles » fera bonne impression sur mon CV.  Après tout, c’est pour ça que je suis venu.  Car quitter mon pays, ma famille et mes amis a été un déchirement pour moi.  Ils sont tout pour moi et j’ai construit tellement de choses là-bas.  Je me vois déjà de retour chez moi au terme de ma mission, pouvant dire que « je l’ai fait » et pouvant raconter ma vie dans cette ville autoproclamée capitale de l’Europe.

Mais cette ville, je ne l’aime pas.
